The SMFT protocol is an original Everscale development. The consensus raises the bar to 50% fault tolerance, which is the maximum security level by design in decentralized systems. In addition to the above, it allows for processing many chains (processing shards or threads) in one data shard (Workchain). The SMFT launch has been postponed from Q4 2022. Currently, there is active testing in the testnet running 20 nodes, and the new consensus has been polished before the mainnet deployment.

EverConnect aims to ease user interaction with the blockchain and improve the existing UX by providing a one-wallet solution. For example, Everscale ecosystem users will no longer need to hold all the separate wallets to use ecosystem services, and services will not have to provide and maintain integration with all Everscale wallets.
